Samhain/ TBR pile

In light of Samhain we had a Pagan house cleansing. It's very therapeutic and calming. You can really feel the positive energy around us.

With a sage stick we do four figure eight's, and then point for a few moments to the earth's four corners.
We also circle the house with salt and ring my serenity bell.

I got some books at the used book store today. I'll read Cassie's first, but I'm not sure where I'll go after that. I'm expecting Marly's CHoice-Lora Leigh, to arrive in the mail any day. Whatever I'm reading will be put on the back burner as soon as it arrives.
These are the ones I got today.
Rough and tender-Selina MacPherson
Heart of thunder- Johanna Linsdey
Lone eagle-Cassie Edwards
No man's mistress- Mary Balough
Keeper of the heart- Johanna Lindsey
After the abduction- Sabrina Jeffries
The dark highlander- Karen Marie Moning
Savage Thunder-Cassie Edwards

Ah Lindsey, I loved those oldies of hers!

Have you ever read Lora Leigh before? I'm all about her breeds! I'm anxious to hear what you think about Marley's Choice!

Zeek, This will be my first Lora Leigh, but I'm sure it wont be my last. I have read all about the August brothers from reviews, and I'm slightly obsessed with them already, lol.

I'm a tad nervous to start the Lindsey books. I have a few of her more recent ones, and I enjoyed them, but I hear she tends to favour the R word in her books.

Crystal, I will just email it to you. There are actually 4 photo's.

    The R word? Elaborate!

I vaguely remember Heart of Thunder- but if it was one of her westerns I'm sure I liked it!

Keeper of the Heart was odd but I still liked it (not a love but definately a like!)

I remember loving Hearts Aflame- different setting for a historical and Secret Fire. For some reason SF stuck with me- I think it's because I loved the heroine so much.

Of her westerns I think A heart So Wild is my favorite. Probably tops my favorite western of all time ... And Chandos is one of my top heroes as well.

    Ah precious memories!

Hi again Zeek. By R word, I mean rape. I heard her hero's tend to take the heroine by force a lot.
I read Man of my dreams last week, and there was no forced sex in it, but this am I finished Heart of thunder..I was uncomfortable with the first 2 sex scenes. I think a line was crossed, and it angered me. Heart of thunder is not a Western, I do enjoy western romance though.
I will look for a heart so wild, then let you know what I think.

@ Steven, it looks like you got it figured out. Be sure to check back often. I put up my man de jour with you in mind. A new hottie every day ;)

Oh I SEE! Yeah, I guess she was kinda like that! I suppose it never bother me because it didn't "feel" like the R word. Plus that's how they ALL were back then! LOL! The heroine wants it, but is reluctant then the hero overwhelms her with his manlitude!

Well she just may not be your thing then...
