Knight Tristan de Barre and his men were murdered in 1292, their souls cursed to roam Dreadmoor Castle forever. Forensic archaeologist Andi Monroe is excavating the site and studying the legend of a medieval knight who disappeared. But although she's usually rational, Andi could swear she's met the handsome knight's ghost. Until she finds a way to lift the curse, though, love doesn't stand a ghost of a chance.

Andi is sent to Dreadmoor castle to excavate some remains that were unearthed after a storm uprooted a tree. Almost as soon as she arrives she is contacted by a spirited that whispers to her. A voice that only she can hear.

Tristan is a 13'th century knight who was cursed then murdered. He is forced to roam around his castle, never being able to leave his own land.

When Andi comes to dig up the remains he just can't seem to stay away from her. He likes her more than he should, and since he is dead, he knows not to get to close to her.

Being a ghost, Tristan has the ability to make himself invisible. Doing that, he watches Andi while she works. Andi wants to spend more time with Tristan, she is fascinated with him.

You can cut the sexual tension with a knife, but since Tristan is a ghost, he avoids getting too close to Andi. His visible form is just an illusion, so even if Andi had the chance to get close to him, her hands would just pass right through.

When it's revealed that Tristan is a ghost and they spend even more more time together, Andi can't help falling in love with the knight.

When Andi is threatened and nearly kidnapped (more than once) Tristan feels a great deal of anger. He is a chivalrous knight who wants to protect the woman he loves, but he can do little more than just watch. He cannot touch humans, so he relies on his few mortal friends to help keep Andi safe.

This is an adorable fluffy read that put a smile on my face.

Oh, and you fellow cover snobs will probably catch this, too. On the cover you can see that the girl is wearing band aids on the back of her ankles. I guess the heels are giving her a blister? I kept looking for that scene in the book, but besides her wedding, Andi never wore anything other than a pair of jeans and sneakers.
