Planet X, By Evangeline Anderson

Published by Ellora's cave
Grade: A

About the book:
Krisa Elyison is a bride-to-be -- bought and paid
for by a stuffy aristocrat. Though she secretly longs for just one adventure all
on her own, she knows the reality of her life: she is destined to be the wife of
the elderly and pompous Lord Radisson.

Kurt Teague is a prisoner -- a galactic criminal
wanted for multiple murders. He is also Feral, a proud and savage people known
for their indomitable wills to survive and their fiercely possessive natures.
His tortured past has turned him into a ruthless killer—an unthinkable fate to
the innocent, sheltered Krisa.

Have you ever seen that Vin Diesel movie called Pitch Black? Planet X reminded me of it.

Krisa is on a ship on her way to marry the man who owns her. She is from the Bridal Planet, where she has been trained and bred to be the perfect proper wife.
Teague is on the same ship, except he on his way to prison.

When the ship crashes Krisa goes with Teague because he is her only chance for survival. At first she is afraid of him, but she learns to trust him. They talk a lot and she soon finds out that he isn't a danger to her.

They spend a month together on Planet X. An intriguing Planet of pastel colours. The water is light pink. The vegetation is light pink, green blue and teal. Even the hair of the locals is a light pastel. At night there is no moon or stars, so for Krisa it is pitch black. During that time she depends on Teague because his race of people have special eyes that allow them to see in the dark.

It was fun to watch Krisa start off as this prissy proper lady, and then grow into a passionate sexual woman. Krisa and Teague are the perfect pair.

They go through a lot together. Wild beasts are after them, Krisa has to adapt to a weird new world. Planet X locals want to own Krisa, and Teague has to protect her. They are betrayed by someone and Krisa's intended comes looking for her. There is so much going on. Action packed. There wasn't a dull moment for me.

I don't think so. There is no 'buy this in print' link on the EC sales page.

When it does come out in print, I will buy it for my collection.
