Mercury’s War by Lora Leigh
Why I read this: I'm addicted to the Breeds.

Someone has been slipping the Sanctuary’s secure information to a pharmaceutical company. Now it’s up to Ria Rodriguez to pose as a clerk and uncover the leak. Yet she has no idea of the danger

she’s about to encounter—or the passion she’s about to ignite in one of the greatest Breeds ever created.

This Breed book is much like the others, plot-wise. There is either someone trying to bring down the Breeds, kidnap the Breeds, kill the Breeds, spy on the Breeds Etc. Breed readers know what I mean.
I'm not complaining. I like how the stories go and follow each other. Consistency is good in a series.

The hero/heroine conflict in this book is that it's thought by both Mercury and Ria that Mercury was supposed to have been mated to a different woman. That was thought to have died. So they were not able to go through the mating head and bond to each other.

When Mercury and Ria do start to show signs of mating to each other, Ria is convinced that the heat he has is for someone else. Even though she accepts him as her mate and aches for him, she feels like second best.
For those who are confused-Breeds can only mate once, however, they can have mate-like tendencies to anyone as long as they have not physically gone through the mating heat with a specific person.

I had always been under the impression that a Breed could only share the hormones from his tongue with a mate that nature picked for them. According to this book, it does not have to be nature's mate, but the real mate will suffer if the one meant for her mates with someone else.

That is why Ria was feeling bad after the mating. She was convinced that she was not really the one nature meant to be mated to Mercury.

I did enjoy this book. There were a few minor issues. The first being that Ria was drinking so much coffee during her heat. Every other Breed book has the women avoiding coffee because it makes the pain of heat so much worse. In this book there is one line mentioning that she should not be rinking coffee, but it felt to me like that line was just thrown in there as an after thought.

Also, it's mentioned through the book how Mercury's nail are actually claws. Although they are blunt, they are still claws (Because Mercury is more lion than man in appearance) At one point during the story, he uses his blunt nails/claws to rip apart off all Ria's clothes. If he can shred clothes, then why the heck was he fingering her so much? Seems to me she would have been torn up. Just sayin'.

3/4 of the book was awesome. The story was engaging, entertaining, and even though it lacked anal, (Lora Leigh writes anal so good!) there was lots of oral to make up for it.

The last 1/4 took a negative turn, imo. There was this big twist about Ria that came way out of left field, and honestly, it was not at all believable, and I actually put down the book for a bit, not because I had to do something, but because I needed to roll my eyes a few hundred times to work out the annoyance I was feeling.

All in all, it was a good Breed book. It wasn't the best, it wasn't worst. I give it a C+. That twist with Ria brought it down for me.

For Jonas fans, he is in this book a lot. Yay. I have a sneaking suspicion that Dr. Ely might be his mate. I'm not too sure how much I would enjoy a book with her as the star of it. She is in most of the books, but I don't like her that much.

Wild Card by Lora Leigh
Why I read this: I wanted to get the horror that was Nauti Dreams out of my head. I also thought this was the most recent Tempting Seals book, but it is not. Players from the Temping Seals series are in this book, but Wild Card is in fact book one in the new Elite Ops series.

It was supposed to be simple. All Navy SEAL Nathan Malone had to
do was rescue three young girls from a Colombia drug cartel, then allow himself to be captured just long enough to draw out a government spy. That was before his mission went disastrously wrong…and before his wife, Bella, was told that Nathan was never coming home.
Bella’s mourned her husband’s death for three long years. But she has no idea he’s still alive. Forced to assume a new identity, the man Nathan was is now dead. If he can get back to his wife, can he keep the secret of who he really is…even as desire threatens to consume them? And as danger threatens to tear Bella from Nathan’s arms once more?

I'm glad I read this. After Nauti Dreams and a few other LL books lately, I was ready to give up on this author. Wild Card was a save. Whew.

Next to amnesia, hidden identity is my favourite cliche storyline, so this was a real treat.

Bella is devastated when her husband, Nathan, dies on a mission. For three years she stays hidden away, putting her life on hold. When she finds out that Nathan's shop is about to go under, she comes out of her depression and works her ass off to keep it afloat.

Another 3 years pass by, and Noah comes to town. Noah is really Nathan, but due to some major plastic surgery to repair damage done to him while he was held by enemies, he is unrecognizable.

At first, I thought that this was going to be an eye roller. Even after 6 years, and some operations, who is not going to recognize her husband as soon as she first kisses him?

Lora Leigh made it work though. She delved into the psyschy of each character and I believed it.

There is a time when Bella figures it all out, and she has a bit of fun messing with Noah. Saying things that only Nathan would get, etc.

Noah goes through a bit of a roller coaster with his emotions. He loves Bella, never stopped loving her, but for reasons explained in the book, he can't let her know who he is, and he almost feels jealous at both sides of himself. The Nathan part of him feels jealous that Bella seems to be moving on with Noah, and the Noah part of him is jealous that Bella wont totally let go of her dead husband.

Like I said, the psychological aspect of it is written very well. It was interesting.

B+. Because even though the sex scenes all started off damn good, by the last few, they were starting to get repetitive.

A friend sent this to me on facebook. OMG, I laughed so hard. It's college kids reading the book to the camera.

It sounds WAY better when I read the book in my head.

Nauti nights by Lora Leigh

Published by Berkley trade
Why I read this: Lora Leigh is an auto buy author for me.

James “Dawg” Mackey has lusted after sweet Crista Jansen for years. Just as many as she’s spent running
from him—and from that dangerous attraction that shot like a spark through her whole body. But now for Crista, running isn’t an option anymore because Dawg’s got a plan. It’s kind of low-down. And kind of hot.
Blackmail is a dirty word, but Dawg will use it if that’s what it takes to get Crista where he wants her. His hungers are too hard and fierce not to. He doesn’t realize that Crista has a longing too. She’s knows what he’s up to, what he’s capable of. He didn’t get that nickname for nothing. And before the night is through, Crista’s making him work for it.

This was a pretty typical Lora Leigh plot. Ultra alpha male wants mindless wimpy girl. Mindless girl wants Alpha male, but she is afraid of his sexuality. Alpha male blackmails her into bed. It takes only one kiss or heated look for mindless girl to lose the minuscule amount of braincells she has. Mindless girl is either being stalked/threatened or in this case, set up and framed for some bad things. Alpha male tells mindless girl to stay put for her own safety, but mindless girl is, well, mindless. So, she goes and gets herself kidnapped.

Okay, so is the probably the first time LL has written a blackmailed into bed storyline, but it still goes along with almost all her other books. Alpha male pursues the hell out his prey. Same old, same old.

When I read the first book in this series, I remember liking Dawg a lot, and I was excited for his story. I think I knew that it was going to be so predictable, so thats why I let it sit in my TBR pile for a little while before I read it. Usually when a new Lora Leigh books comes out I stop my current read so that I can devour her latest release. Thats been changing though. I'm tired of the too stupid to live Heroines. The same old storyline, and the amount of times someone is 'destroyed' during sex.

Nauti Nights is a C+.
My review of Nauti boy.

Forbidden Pleasure by Lora Leigh
Published by St. Martin's Griffin
Grade: C+

The Club is private, exclusive and only for those men whose fantasies run to the more forbidden side. . . People have heard only fleeting rumors about The Club. Located just outside Washington, D.C., only its members know where men go when they want to indulge the desire to share their women with a carefully selected male partner. Former FBI agent John ‘Mac’ McCoy resigned his membership from The Club when he married Keiley Hardin. Tempting and innocent, sweet and sexy, she would never accept Mac’s desires to share her with another man. However, Keiley’s growing curiosity and Mac’s own fantasies of sharing his wife haunt his dreams. And his passions.
Unable to wait any longer, Mac invites his best friend Jethro Riggs, to their home with the intention of drawing Keiley into the pleasures that can only be achieved when two men love the same woman. But there’s more going on in Mac’s neck of the woods than a little additional pleasure. A past case involving astalker who likes to play games has shown up again, but now Keiley is in the middle of it all. Passion and pleasure, danger and desire combine as the forbidden becomes an addiction none of them can escape.

I'll never again be able to hear the name Jethro without getting a hot flash. I started off hating the name, but by the end of the book I was all into it.

Jethro met Keiley first, but he knew that he wasn't sensitive enough to take care of her properly. He knew that Mac would fall for Keiley, and since Jethro and Mac have often shared women, he thought that it wouldn't be long before he had the chance to sleep with her. However, instead of calling him to invite him to bed, Mac was calling to tell him that he was going to marry her.

Even though Keiley was aware of the rumours about them, Mac never introduced her to it. She was an innocent little virgin and he didn't think she could handle it.

So now, it's been three years. Mac took Keiley away from the big city, and moved her to his home town. It's been difficult for Kailey because a women that Mac rejected over 15 years ago, hates Keiley and is always starting rumours and being snotty to her. For the most part, Keiley is able to ignore it all.

Things start to get really bad after Jethro comes for a visit. The rumours of a menage are on everyone lips, plus a stalker is after them. Stalker is a man who wasn't able to make it into the FBI, so he stalks the wives/girlfriends of men in law enforcement in order to prove that he is smarter than them. He challenges the men to see if they are good enough to protect their women from him.

What I liked best about Forbidden Pleasure, was all the emotions running through the heads of the trio. Keiley was afraid of falling in love with Jethro, and thinking that it will be a betrayal to her husband. Jethro is afraid that Keiley wont love him, and he isn't sure he can just walk away from her once his vacation is over. Mac is playing mind games and pushing his wife and best friend together.
When Keiley realises what it is that Mac is up to she really lays it into him. I had a 'You go girl' moment when she started yelling at him.

Seeing as this Lora Leigh, you know that the lovin' is hot hot hot.

This is book eight of the Bound Heart's series.

Tempting the beast, by Lora Leigh (Feline Breeds book 1)

Deception,
blood, and the evil Genetics Council are hot on their trail. Callan will use his
strength to try and save them both…and do all in his power to keep his woman in

Yummy Breeds! Callan is a man who's DNA was infused the with DNA of a lion before his birth. He, and others like him were nothing more than genetic experiments. He has escaped the people who made him, and with a few others he has swore to protect, they are hiding out.

Anytime Merinus and Callan go near each other they feel an intense attraction. They don;t know it yet, but they are really mates! As soon as they have their first kiss, pheromones are released that make them each hornier than hell. For days they can do nothing but have have sex. When they spend more than a few hours apart they both go into a painful withdrawal that doens't ease up until they are once again in each others arms.

This is a really interesting read, and since it is Lora Leigh, it's sexy as hell! As Zeek likes to call them, these Beasty boys are hot hot hot. I can't wait to gobble up the rest of this series.

Nauti Boy, by Lora Leigh

Published by Berkley, March 2007
Grade: B-

About the book:
Too weak to resist young Kelly Benton's attempts at
seduction, Rowdy Mackay left home eight years ago. Duty as a U.S. Marine put a
safe distance between temptation and the nubile Kentucky vixen. Now he's back
home and ready to engage in the kind of erotic games that have earned him and
his two cousins a Nauti-boy reputation in three counties.

Once it was Kelly's dream too-to feel the heat of
the boy she desired. But an attack from a stalker still on the prowl has left
Kelly terrified of a man's touch. Now as fear and desire converge, Rowdy fights
to save her from the deadly threats of a stranger, to rid her of her demons, and
to satisfy a hunger more powerful than either can imagine.

Rowdy's dad married Kelly's mom. When Rowdy saw that he was starting to have sexual thoughts about his 16 year old step sister, he ran off and joined the Marines. He would come home to visit through out the years, and even though Kelly had become an adult he still didn't pursue her. He stayed away from her out of respect for his dad.

Finally, Rowdy decides that he can't stay away from her. He has stayed hands off for 8 years, but now he wants a relationship with her, and he doesn't care what his dad, or anyone else thinks.

When Rowdy goes home he finds a different Kelly. No longer is she dressing sexy, flirting and jumping into his arms for hugs. She is jumpy, skittish and afraid. Right off the bat he can tell that something has happened.

A year earlier a man had broken into her apartment and attacked her. The guy is still around and is stalking her, and it's up to Rowdy and his cousins to protect Kelly, and bring down the bad guy.

This reminded me a lot of Marly's choice. Rowdy is her step brother, Cade was Marly's step uncle/brother. Kelly steals Rowdy's shirts, Marly would steal Cade's shirts. Cade liked to share his women with his brothers, Rowdy shares with his cousins. Stalker was after Marly, a stalker is after Kelly.

There are differences though..There is no heavy handed pushiness in this book. The men are not trying to bully or guilt trip Kelly into a 4-some. Unlike the August men, the Nauti boys share because they want to, not because of some twisted need from their childhood.

Pretty much everything that readers complained about in the Men of August series is corrected in this one. I'm not going to give it away, but this time there is a twist with the sharing that I believe will make a lot of readers very happy.

Hot Spell, Anthology
Published by Berkley Sensation
Grade: Over all, C

About the book:

Venture into a world beyond the ordinary, where the dark passions and
voracious appetites of vampires, werewolves, demons, and a few undaunted mortals
combine to unleash a potent spell... Here are lovers to tempt the imagination:
Eyes that glitter with keenness born of ancient knowledge. Hands that move with
a tenderness belying superhuman strength. Inviting smiles that reveal
exquisitely lethal fangs. Rippling, leonine muscles. There's danger in the
air...and heat.

The Countess's pleasure, by Emma Holly.
This short story is about a Yama who falls in love with a human. It was alright. I'm not a huge fan of the Yama demon world.
The Heroine, who is a virgin widow, asks a Yama who she just saw in a strip show to have sex with her and se will pay him. He trying to make money for something, so he agrees.
Like I said, it was alright.
The reason she was still a virgin is because her husband could not get an erection. He taught her how to perform oral sex, and she did it often, but the guy never got it up.
There was supposed to be some big secret as to why he was impotent, but it was never revealed.
I give this one a C.

The breed next door, By Lora Leigh
Part of the Breeds series. I have read a lot of Lora Leigh, but this was my first Breed book. Everyone raves about the series, and now I see why.
The Heroine, Lyra, finds out that the sexy, annoying man living next door to her is a Breed. Breeds are not born, they are created. Half man & half animal. Tarek is a Lion Breed.
After Tarek stops a man breaking into Lyra's house, he makes her spend the night with him. The next day, after finding out that they are mates they spend two days going at it. There is a bit of action when some men break into Tareks house an attempt to assassinate him.
I am left with a few questions, but I'm sure they will be answered once I read the others in the series.
I gave this novella a C+

Falling for Anthony, by Meljean Brook
I read a couple chapters of this one, then skipped to the end and read the last page. I couldn't get into it. I don't like the Heroine. She was much to forward for the time period. Her attitude was nothing like I have ever read in a historical. I bet if it had been a contemporary I would have liked it.
This one is a DNF

Blood Kiss, by Shiloh Walker
Why have I never read Shiloh Walker before? I must be insane. I feel like I have missed out on some great reads! I'm totally gonna scoop out her back list now.
In Blood Kiss, a king werewolf falls for the daughter of his enemy. When her father, who is a Vampire, decides to play pimp daddy with her, Roman-the Werewolf, mates with her and marks her so that all the Vampires who are lusting after her will back off. Fighting action, betrayal, great great. Awesome read.
I give this a B+

Dangerous games, by Lora Leigh

Published by St. Martins, Feb 2007
Grade: B-

About the book: Navy SEAL Clint “Iceman” McIntire didn't earn his nickname by being a coward. Or a quitter. Having crushed an infamous drug cartel in Colombia, Clint was nothing short of an American hero. Now he's home, on a much-needed leave, but instead of some R&R, he finds himself neck-deep in trouble with his best friend's little sister, Morganna Chavez, the only woman who has the power to bring him to his knees. . .

Morganna has been secretly working with the DEA to uncover a thriving date-rape drug, which leads her to a shadowy faction that is more deadly than anything her team has ever encountered. Now it's up to Clint to keep this beautiful, determined agent out of harm's way, even while the passion between them threatens to consume them. Soon Clint's greatest mission will be not just keeping Morganna safe, but getting her into his arms and never letting go.

Morganna has been in love with Clint since she was a teenager. Clint always knew how she felt, but he didn't ever pursue it because he thought she was too young. He is also a tortured soul who had a horrible childhood. His father beat him, his mother did nothing to protect him and he was afraid to start a serious relationship & have children because he didn't want to be like his father.

After years of being turned down by Clint, Morganna has had enough! She goes into law enforcement and is helping the DEA crack a big case. A powerful date rape drug is being used on women.

Clint and Morganna end up working together, and it's not long before the sparks start to fly.

Clint doesnt like how close they are getting, so he wants to keep his distance, but then someone tries to kill Morganna. They go into hiding together, and there is nothing that can keep them apart.

Dangerous games is action packed (not just with sex either.) Clint is your typical sexually charged alpha male, that Lora Leigh writes so well. He reminds me a lot of Cade from Marly's choice.

If this is your first Lora Leigh book, then you will find the love scenes explicit. Trust me though, they are pretty tame compared to some of her other works.

A big problem for me is that it's marketed as the first in a series, when it's not! 'Honk if you love real men', is an anthology that has the first real story. It may not officially be part of of SEAL books, but stuff that happened in this book is directly related to the first one, and anyone (like me) who hasn't read the anthology is left with unanswered questions. Very maddening! There is nothing I hate more than when a lot of references are made to previous books, and I'm sitting here saying "what the hell are they talking about" That happened a lot for me with this book.

Surrender, by Lora Leigh (book one in the bound hearts series)
Published by Ellora's cave
Grade: B

About the book: Cole has wanted Tess for years. And he's warned her of this several times. He's also warned her HOW he wants her. Tied down in his bed, under his domination, surrendering to his desires...

I finally started to read the Bound Hearts series. I was going to wait and read the whole series one book right after the other and then do one big review. But a then I read a real shitty book that put me in a bad mood. I decided that some steamy Lora Leigh is just the thing I needed to make me happy.

Tess knows Cole because his sister is married to her dad. For 2 years he has flirted with her, and she has been lippy to him. She also had the hots for him, but she was a bit jealous about all the women he would have hanging off him.

Her step mother, who is named Missy, and is slightly ditzy has a yearly Valentines day party. Tess's dad makes her promise that she will attend the party. She leaves to spend a week in her childhood home with her dad, but she does it knowing that her mother does not approve. Ella doesn't want Tess spending time with her dad. She tried to guilt trip Tess, but Tess just wants to get away. She is tired of her mother trying to control her all the time.

She arrives at her fathers house and she finds that her dad and Missy are away for the week. Cole is there though, and for 7 days it will be just the two of them. He convinces her to trust him with her body. In true Lora Leigh fashion, it's very very hot.

Tess' mother walks in at the end of a menage with Cole and his best friend and she flips out. She calls Tess a whore, tries to make her leave and then disowns her daughter. See, Tess' mother left her husband because she could not handle his sexual urges. She calls him depraved and blames him for corrupting Tess. I liked Tess' dad. He takes her aside and explains that anything she does in her bedroom is her own business. I know it sounds odd that the dad knows what she is doing with Colee, but it's very innocent. He simply respects her enough as an adult to know what she wants, and he supports her.

My favourite scene is some lovely phone sex early on in chapter two, plus the very end when Tessa has a heart to heart with her step mother.

Even though the cover looks like that, the BDSM is very light. I actually wouldn't consider it BDSM at all. Also, the menage was not mentioned on EC sales page, so it was a nice surprise.

August Heat-Men of August, By Lora Leigh
Ellora's Cave
Grade: B+

Join the August Family for Christmas.
It's been a little more
than a year since Cade, Brock and Sam wrestled their lives back from the woman
determined to destroy them. Join them in this first August family Christmas
celebration, August Heat, and see if their wives have been naughty or nice, or
if the brothers must show them once again how proper August wives should
act.

**Warning, this review contains major spoilers from all the books in the Men of August series**

This is the last book in the Men of August series. It's a short one. Less than a hundred pages, but it ends the series nicely.

At the end of the 3'rd book all the brothers and women get married. It's a triple wedding with a twist..Each man legally married the woman his loves, and then a less formal ceremony bound the hearts of the women to each of the other men, and vice versa.

Marly decided she wanted to have a baby and the men had fun trying to make that happen. No question to who the dad is though..Sam and Brock made sure that Cade is the only one who could have gotten her pregnant by pulling out, and then not being with her again till after she became pregnant.

Everything is going along just fine. The women are enjoying all the lovin'. They are happy, safe and secure.

Then in book 4, Marly has the baby and everything starts to change. All three men and women have strong desires for their own home and family. The men have already decided to stop sharing the women, and the women have decided they don't want to be shared. The problem is that no one is saying anything in fear of hurting the other.

The women make sure that they are never alone in a room with any of the brothers, and work so hard at avoiding them that they don't even notice that the only man coming on to them are their own husbands.

Eventually the men figure out why the women are annoyed and the men feel hurt and angry that their wives did not trust them enough to tell them how they feel. The men then punish their own wives in that sexy kinky style they are so famous for.

In the end the sharing ends, two more homes are build on the ranch for Sam&Heather and Sarah&Brock. Everyone has babies, and lives happily ever after :)

This is part of the authors note at the end of August Heat..
Be watching for more news of your favorite August family coming in the sequel series, The Men Of Madison, beginning with Tina’s Temptation. It’s the story of an August relative, and our tough-as-nails Madison County sheriff, Joshua Martinez. Hey, sheriffs have handcuffs. This could get interesting.

Yay! I can't wait!

P.s-The cover for this book is too damn embarrassing to post.

Heather's Gift, by Lora Leigh
Ellora's cave
Grade: B

Book 3 in the Men Of August series

Will she bring the gift of acceptance, or will she break the bonds that have
been forged through the fires of hell?Heather's job was to guard Sam's body. As
part of the team assigned to the protection of the August family, she had taken
her job seriously. Until a madman learned she was Sam August's weakness. Until
the past rose with deadly intent and surprising secrets. Will Sam be able to
deny his passion for this woman, or will the dark nightmares and sensuous
desires that rage through them both be the cause of his destruction, and the
destruction of the woman he loves?

This third book in the Men of August series is about Sam and Heather. Heather is working at the August ranch as part of the security team. In the 2'nd book, Sara's Seduction, Heather was attacked by the stalker. She was hurt pretty badly and for that Sam feels horribly guilty. He knows the only reason the stalker went after Heather is because the two of them have strong feelings for each other.

Even though Heather does not want to be part of the August brother's family fun, she wants to be with Sam, but he pushes her away. Sam's anger and sexual frustration is bothering everyone in the family, and they all try to make Sam go to Heather, but he is too afraid for her safety.

In the end after seeing the brothers bond, and realising that it's not just lust that drives them to share their women, Heather goes to Marly and Sarah for help and advice before joining the brothers in the family room. I liked how it was the women who put the big seduction into motion this time. The other books it was the men who set it all up. The gals took control this time, yeah!
Most importantly, the stalker is captured. Finally! Everything about the abuse the brothers suffered in the past comes out. No more secrets.

I fregan love this series!

Sarah's seduction, By Lora Leigh
Ellora's cave
Grade: B-

Book 2 in the Men of August series

On a hot summer night six years before, Brock August showed
Sarah Tate a passion that would nearly destroy her. But fear and innocence drove
her from his arms and into a marriage she neither wanted nor found happiness in.
Now Sarah is free and she wants that night she lost. One night, a few stolen
hours to know the heat and passion of the man she never forgot. But Brock has
other plans in mind. A secret, a passion, a desire his brothers share. A desire
Sarah will be unable to deny. That is, if she can escape the dark designs of the
stalker intent on destroying the August men
.

You can read about the first book in his sexy series here.
Brock has been in love with Sarah for six years. After spotting Brock's twin brother Sam, looking in on them just before they have sex, Sarah freaks out and runs away. Within days she marries a man who spends the next six years treating her like crap and cheating on her.

After the divorce, Brock make his move on Sarah and finds that the passion they almost shared 6 years ago is still there. As Brock and Sarah get closer to each other the stalker does much to tear them apart. Not only do they have to deal with that, but Marly is at first very upset about Brock falling in love Sarah. Marly does not want to let Cade touch another woman.

In this second August brothers book we learn much more about the abuse the brothers suffered. Brock has shared the past with Sarah to help her understand why they need to share the women they love. Marly, who is still in the dark about it begs Sarah to tell her, and when she does. Cade is not too happy about that. The truth has upset Marly, and if you read the first ook then you know that Cade beats up anyone who makes Marly cry. Cade would never lay a hurtful hand on Sarah, but she does get punished for telling Marly. Oh yah, she liked the punishment a lot.

At the end of this book the stalker is still at large, and we also meet the woman who steals Sam's heart..Heather. One of the women who has been hired to guard them against the stalker.

knows the only way to prove his loyalty, his love for those brothers and Marly
will be the key. She has a choice. She can surrender to Cade's needs, his soul
deep desires, or she can walk away. A choice only Marly can make. A choice that
will change her life forever.

I first heard about this book after the gals over at The sanctuary talked about it.
My oh my! Where do I start? Hmmm, OK. Well, Marly is in love with Cade and Cade is in love with Marly. Marly sets out to seduce him, but he resists her because he helped raise her since she was 12. She pushes him to his limits with her seduction because she knew from talking to his past lovers the type of things that turn him on, and she did everything she could to make him want her. It eventually worked, and they become lovers.

Let me tell you..very erotic! Marly also knows that the brothers share the women they love. They are not gay, and they don't do anything with each other, they just sexually please her together. It only happened twice in the book though. Once with just Cade and Sam, and then with Cade, Sam and Brock. The rest of the time it was always Cade and Marly alone though.

Meanwhile, someone is stalking Marly. He sneaks into her room while she sleeps, takes pictures of her, and even shoots one of the brothers after he sees Marly and Cade going at on the kitchen counter. At the end of the book, the stalker is caught and it is someone from Marley's past, but we learn that he is just the middle man, so to speak. The Epilogue lets us know that the real stalker is still out there. Obliviously he hates the August brothers, and plans to hurt them, by going after their women.
